Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 PM, local time, on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, in the Planning, Design, and Construction offices of Appalachian State University, 2458 Hwy 105, Boone, NC 28607. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 PM, local time, on Friday, April 26th, 2024, at the project site, 800 17th St. NW, Hickory, NC 28601, in meeting room 1222. Project Description Project consists of renovating approximately 8400 square feet of the second floor of the Hickory Campus building with selective demolition and new construction of hallways, computer laboratories and general science laboratories and their associated equipment. Proposals are due on Friday, April 26th, 2024 by 4:00pm at the office of Planning, Design & Construction located at 2458 HWY 105, Boone, NC 28607. Project Description This project is for Building MEP Commissioning services related to construction and renovation of the ASU Hickory Campus building of a new approximately 129,000 sq. ft. Renovation will be done in 6 phases; Phases 2A (Fall 2024), 2B, and 2C will address remodel of the second floor to accommodate various science laboratories and computer based laboratories, as well as classroom expansion. Phases 3, 4, and 5 will address renovation on the third through fifth floors of the building. Coordination between all projects is required and essential to the overall success of the Hickory Campus. Project Description Appalachian State University is accepting proposals for a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the Hickory Campus renovation project-Phases 2B through Phase 5. This project scope includes the renovation of approximately 118,000 sq. ft. in total staring with the 2 nd floor of the occupied Hickory Campus building, located at 800 17th Street NW, Hickory, NC 28601. The renovation includes major electrical switch gear, air handler replacements, wet labs, classrooms, student lounge space, faculty lounge space, and conference space.
